Westinghouse Ceramic Cooktop Problems

Truthfully i don t know if that is really a viable solution anyway because who wants to reach to the back while frying bacon or something that requires constant stirring or whatever.

You need a cooktop scraper usually comes with the cooktop and a ceramic cleaner which you can use as often as you want apply and wipe with a paper towel using some elbow grease. However the problem lies that i cannot find a glass ceramic cooktop that has any of the larger burners in the back so that the exhaust will work with them. If you see metallic marks or brown stains on the ceramic cooktop you need to do some cleaning. Pick pans up to move them.

The glass may appear to sustain the weight for the time being until the cooktop is heated at which time it could break or shatter when the glass or ceramic expands. The oven has blown two elements and the temp is not true to its settings.

I would like to replace my cooktop read more. I have ugraded my westinghouse stove to a new stainless steel westinghouse pdr790s stove. The ceramic cooktop we have always had problems with varying the temp they are now just full on. The metallic marks are likely from sliding pans across the surface.

Shall now purchase new ones and they will not be westinghouse.
